The polar chirality of striped-domain multiferroic thin films of BiFeO3is associated to a complex set of ferroelectric domain walls. Interestingly, the complete polar winding proceeds as an alternation between short path and long path Bloch-like domain walls, in which the polarization remains in the easy plane imposed by the symmetry of the substrate.
