Ran Xu has started her Ph.D. in January 2021 at CentraleSupélec on modeling multiferroic-metal superlattices: a multiscale approach. Based on density functional theory, superlattice arrangements such as BiFeO₃/SrRuO₃are explored to reveal the key parameters (polar displacements, oxygenoctahedra tilting, interface, size and sequence effects, etc.) at the origin of polar toplogical objects/textures in order to provide toolbox enabling to design them on-demand.
